JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A Commercial/Residential PAINTER:
Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for painting, including scraping, sanding, patching, and caulking.
Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
Accurately mix and match paint colors.
Protect furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces with drop cloths and masking tape.
Clean up work areas and equipment after each job.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Follow project specifications and timelines.
Perform minor repairs and touch-ups as needed.
Perform commercial and residential painting tasks.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of professional painting experience in both commercial and residential settings.
Proven ability to prepare surfaces and apply various finishes with precision.
Strong knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Must be able to pass drug and background screen
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
Preferred Skills:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
Casework and millwork experience is a plus
Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
