- Build machine learning pipelines, deploy machine learning models, use and help build data ingestion streams, monitor model performance
- Provide statistical expertise and collaborate with scientists for data collection, statistical modeling/data analysis, and interpretation of complex datasets to enable data-driven decisions.
- Accelerate genetics and environmental modeling deployment and validation efforts
- Solid foundation in probability and statistical inference
- Extensive experience analyzing designed experiments and observational datasets (e.g. linear fixed effects and mixed effects models, regression analysis)
- General Data Engineering knowledge
- Python (GIS in Python)
- Experience with variable selection, dimensionality reduction, model diagnostics, remedial measures and validation.
- Experience consuming APIs (experience building APIs would be a plus)
- Written and verbal communication skills and the ability to successfully collaborate and lead projects with colleagues from diverse technical background
- Critical thinking, problem-solving skills, flexibility, willingness to learn
- Experience with generalized linear models and non-linear models
- Experience with ML package; XG Boost
- Experience consulting on scientific projects or working within a scientific team
- Experience with machine learning/AI/deep learning (both tabular and neuro networks)
- Experience with Raster data (Rasterio for analysis) and Xray
