Lake Theatre, the 2018 Clear Lake Business of the Year, is excited to have openings for the role of supervisor. Lake Theatre is a fun, flexible, entertainment venue which prides itself on being a family friendly, high-value, clean & fresh destination for the latest in movies!
Approximately 15 to 20 hours a week, nights and weekends with very occasional day hours.
Supervisor Position: The Supervisor is an integral part of the Theatre team. The Supervisor is an hourly, part-time entry-level management position who reports to the Owners.
The primary responsibilities of the Supervisor include:
Supervision of theatre staff
Opening and closing operations
Guest relations- providing patrons an exceptional theatre experience
Projection operations, theatre equipment operations and maintenance as needed
Concessions Operations & Management
Facilities Management & Operations
Financial and administration functions
Other duties as assigned
All with a positive attitude with an emphasis on ensuring patrons and staff have a positive experience!
Supervision of theatre staff
Supervise theatre staff to ensure and verify tasks are completed timely and completely
Assist with training staff as needed
Provide positive and constructive feedback to staff as needed
Opening and Closing operations
Conduct safe and complete theatre openings/closings
Ensure self and staff are completing prescribed checklists
Guest Relations
Ensuring all guests are greeted promptly and warmly by self and staff
Proactively solving guest issues should they arise
Ensuring all guests have a positive experience
Projection/Theatre equipment operation and maintenance
Conduct proper startup and shutdown operations of projection and theatre equipment
Conduct scheduled maintenance as prescribed
Observe and report issues or irregularities
Concessions Operations & Management
Conduct proper startup, operation, cleaning, & shutdown of concession equipment
Ensure concessions are properly stocked and maintained
Conduct proper inventory management and reporting
Assist with concession operations and staff oversight of concessions
Facilities Operations & Management
Conduct proper cleaning and maintenance of:
o Lobby
o Concession Area
o Restrooms
o Auditorium
o Stock Rooms
o Building Exterior
Provide proper oversight and verification of staff cleaning
Verify proper operation of lighting, HVAC, other equipment
Occasionally meet and work with contractors needing access
Financial & Administrative Functions
Proper recording & reporting of ticket and concession sales
Maintenance of cash drawers, buy bags, petty cash
Performing of bank deposit and making change
Proper clocking-in and clocking-out of staff, recording of time
Operate and reconcile credit card sales
Being a good steward of the Theatre
The Cinema Supervisor will oversee and will be required to fulfill the responsibilities of a staff member or assistant manager which are detailed below.
Staff Position: The Staff role is an integral part of the Theatre team. A Staff member is an hourly, part-time entry-level position that reports to the supervisor and the owners.
CONCESSION & BOX OFFICE STAFF
Sell, collect, record physical and online tickets
Direct movement of patrons into lobby and auditorium
Monitor temperature, audio and visual film presentations and communicate issues to management
Clean theatre areas
Prepare & serve quality/fresh concessions in a clean & safe manner
Keep workstations and back area well stocked
Receive and rotate stock as needed
Manage loss control
Change signs, posters and marquees
Collect money and make change for concession purchases
Restock merchandise
Collect coupons
Maintain clean service area
Answer phones
Change box office signage
Complete reports
Monitor attendance by MPAA ratings
Other duties as assigned
Supervisor Requirements, Experience and Qualifications:
ï§ High School Diploma or GED required
ï§ Must be at least 18 years of age.
ï§ Able to pass a background check
ï§ Ability to receive ServSafe certification
ï§ Prefer prior experience in a theatre or retail environment
ï§ Prior experience supervising others preferred
ï§ Able to maintain confidentiality
ï§ Excellent customer service skills
ï§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
ï§ Ability to multi-task in a changing environment
ï§ Ability to work a flexible schedule to include: nights, weekends and holidays as needed
ï§ Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds, and bend, lift, stoop on ladders or steps as needed
ï§ Ability to stand for long periods of time
ï§ Manual dexterity to operate, repair and clean cinema equipment
ï§ Computer and 10 key calculator experience
ï§ Able to count U.S. currency, make change and bank deposits as needed
ï§ Flexibility to perform any other theatre position as necessary
ï§ Must have a drivers license, insurance and reliable transportation
ï§ Other duties as assigned
Staff Requirements, Experience and Qualifications:
ï§ Must be at least 16 years of age and if under 18, enrolled in High School
ï§ Positive attitude with willingness to learn
ï§ Able to work well with others
