Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience with bending and fabricating aluminum and stainless steel
Experience with MIG welding
Good mechanical skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Basic math skills
Ability to read, understand, and follow blueprints
Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in English
Self-starter with the ability to work independently
Ability to custom fabricate as needed
Duties include:
Reads and analyzes blueprints to plan layout, assembly and welding operations
Cuts materials for use in fabricating
Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, tape measure, ruler, fixtures, and jigs
Tack welds and welds components for use in Lift Systems equipment
Cleans and inspects all welds
Inspects and measures all fabricated parts for accuracy
Adheres to all safety and health rules of Lift Systems and OSHA
Participates in training and continuing education as required.
Job Requirements:
Problem solving skills
Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to use power and hand tools
Ability to use and read measuring tools
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, and reach with both arms.
Must be dependable and able to work effectively with minimal supervision
