Role: Business system Analyst location: West Des Moines, IA Purpose:
- Responsible for eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business and technical needs on projects.
- Acts as a liaison, facilitating and communicating among business and IT stakeholders.
- Analyzes business problems and participates in recommendations of creative solutions; follows a logical process and helps prepare alternatives in a way that enables decision making.
- Business and functional requirement documents are of high quality, complete, and correct.
- Resulting processes, business practices, and systems are defect free, streamlined, effective, and meet business needs.
- Delivery of requirements are met within fundamental project metrics (scope, time schedule, and costs.
- Receives positive feedback from project manager and team regarding role and deliverables.
- Supports small sized projects with moderate complexity encompassing 1-2 business areas.
- Applies interviewing and facilitating skills to interface with business and technology stakeholders to understand business and system needs.
- Applies techniques to create business and functional requirements (artifacts).
- Participates in business process re-designs to eliminate waste and manual processes.
- Embraces change and assist others in recognizing the need for change.
- Builds relationships within the project team.

- Possesses the ability to tailor the message to the audience.

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems
- 2 - 4 years of business system analyst experience.
- Understands business analysis concepts (business process modeling (BPM), context diagrams, use cases, user stories).
- Understanding of techniques used in requirements elicitation, project scoping, requirements analysis, and planning and analysis activities.
- Utilizes resource tools to manage project resource demand.
- Demonstrates basic understanding of Project Management and SDLC processes.
- Experience using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Visio, Project, PowerPoint).
- Experience in financial services industry
- Experience operating in an Agile environment a plus
