Independent Risk Management establishes and maintains Wells Fargo's risk management program and provides oversight, including challenges to and independent assessment of, the frontline's execution of its risk management responsibilities. We manage risk according to the Risk Management Framework (https://portal.teamworks.wellsfargo.net/rc/CorporateRisk/Pages/riskmgmtfrmwk.aspx) and ensure all employees understand their individual accountability for managing risk. Corporate Risk roles depend on a variety of skills, including: Data analysis and synthesis, root cause analysis, change management, process management & execution, risk governance, risk strategy, risk identification & assessment, risk prevention, controls & mitigation, risk monitoring, reporting & escalation, risk systems & technology.The Change Management Risk Oversight (CMRO) is a newly created Independent Risk Management team within Operational Risk which oversees Enterprise Change Management and assesses the impact of change across business groups and enterprise functions. CMRO is responsible for establishing governance routines and oversight activities which review, challenge, and report change management risk exposures arising from Change Management activities across Wells Fargo. This comprises all types of changes, including strategic, transformational, regulatory, operational, and incremental, that typically result in changes to people, products, services, processes, organizations, or technology.Within CMRO, the Change Management Risk Measurement & Aggregation team interfaces with the risk type and risk program teams and is responsible for the identification, quantification, and monitoring of change risk data (including development of risk analytics, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)/metrics, and monitoring routines) which are used by the CMRO controllers in their relevant governance forums. This team will use the measurement and aggregation of risk information across the enterprise, sourced from the system of record through their engagement with Enterprise Change Management (ECM), to develop thematic insights and analytics to enable review, challenge and actionThe RoleThis Operational Risk Officer role is expected to develop specific subject matter expertise for Change Management, will be considered a thought leader in operational risk and change management and will assist leadership with all matters pertaining to Operational Risk portfolio risk aggregation, reporting, and risk measurement. This includes supporting foundational components for Change Management Risk oversight such as developing and executing monitoring routines, identifying and reviewing material risk events, analyzing risk trends, and presenting insights.The Operational Risk professional in this role will also assist in the creation and implementation of a systematic, data-driven framework within CMRO. The successful candidate will have excellent conceptual thinking skills, supported by strong analytical skills to develop, test and communicate the impact of these concepts.Key Responsibilities:Assist in execution of key oversight routines including risk monitoring and compiling results for monthly reporting.

Assist in development and production of risk management reporting which includes, key risk indicators, risk insights/commentary, trending analysis, variance analysis, risk mitigation strategies, etc.

Ability to identify and effectively communicate the drivers of risk across the enterprise and business specific groups.

Oversee management of issues throughout lifecycle (Id, planning, remediation, closure) and provide updates in monthly reporting.

Responsible for identifying emerging and systemic risks, observing trends/anomalies, establishing tolerance levels, informing the overall risk acceptance within CMRO risk type, etc.

Provide insights into the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, systems and internal controls

Provides operational risk expertise and consultation to complex business units for initiatives with high levels of inherent and residual risk and assist in the production of Key Risk Indicators (KRI), risk appetite measures to measure impacts across the front line.

Ability to partner with Change Risk Oversight controllers to communicate risks to the business groups/enterprise functions

Routinely interface with front line partners including OR Business Oversight (ORBOs), Controls Executives (CEs), Group Portfolio Delivery (GPDs)

Maintain program documentation (desktop procedures, guideline documents) in response to Enterprise program policy and procedure changes

Required Qualifications5+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 5+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in risk management demonstrated through work or military experience

Other Desired QualificationsExperience in a risk program at the Enterprise/Business Group level, risk monitoring and reporting (including risk evaluation and assessment, issues management, or risk governance)

Experience synthesizing group discussions into concise, concrete bullet points and guiding abstract dialogue into actionable themes

Ability to maintain and develop reporting

Ability to distill complex concepts into simplified/targeted solutions, communicate those concepts effectively and ensure that all deliverables are met.

Ability to work independently with little supervision

Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with emphasis on MS Excel and PowerPoint

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
