Job Description
Broadridge is growing. We are seeking a Lead Insert Operator to join our Kansas City, MO facility located at 2600 Southwest Blvd. In this role, you will setup, operate and monitor various types of flat and fold inserting equipment used in the production and assembly of client output. You will consistently meet and/or exceed predetermined quality and efficiency goals. You will interpret production orders and confirm proper job requirements/materials to assemble printed materials into a final product. You will follow operating requirements/guidelines to ensure effective utilization of the equipment and perform preventative maintenance and authorized repairs
Responsibilities:- Maintain a high level of efficiency and ensure the work environment adheres to safety procedures and Company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Setup for each job by loading the paper and verifying the proper materials are loaded according to the work order.
- Perform quality checks and accurately complete all paper work.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine issues.
- May need to move from machine to machine depending on work load and DOD’s (date of delivery).
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- May perform other duties/responsibilities as needed or assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to adapt to a changing dynamic production environment
- Attention to detail
- Basic mechanical and trouble shooting skills
- Basic math skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi task while working under tight deadlines
- Flexibility in work schedule, based on volume needs, which could require weekends, holidays and/or overtime
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, push, pull, reach and lift 50 lb. mail trays throughout duration of assigned 12-hour shifts
- Ability to work in a noisy environment (ear protection provided and required)
