Our direct client is looking to hire a Data Analytics/Business Analyst for a direct hire/permanent position supporting their HQ in Kansas City, Kansas

Limited days per month going into office, maybe only 5 days a month

You will be working in the Retail Wholesale industry (90 years in business), working for a GREAT boss and working with an experienced team. Data Analytics Analyst to support our strategic, business-transforming projects in IT service and support. Client is transforming our business intelligence, analytics, and data automation capabilities. The goal is to level up data warehousing and data management capabilities. This role assists with the prioritization of needs and serves as a liaison between Client's Business Units and IT. This role will work closely with leadership and internal customers as we reshape our application portfolio using business process understanding, appreciation for simplicity and quality, critical thinking, and determination to craft solutions that exceed business and technology objectives. The IT Business Analyst will be part of a team that is responsible for designing, building, maintaining and supporting a wide variety of solutions with the assistance of other teams within the IT organization. In this role, you will "know the business better than the business" through a diligence of learning and documentation combined with an in-depth knowledge of the systems being used. Requirements:
  • Experience working as a business analyst in full SDLC for software projects primarily Data Analytics solutions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in creating mock-up reports
  • Experience providing excellent oral and written communication to a diverse audience.
  • Expert facilitation skills to lead groups through structured information/requirements gathering
  • Experience creating swim lane process diagrams and structured, clear requirements documentation methods
  • Participate in providing 24x7 production support for data analytics systems that directly/indirectly relates to data quality/data governance policies per the directions.
  • Consulting or professional services experience
  • Bachelor's degree in IT related Field or relevant work experience in data analytics.
  • Experience working in a multi-team, Information Technology organization.
  • Great-to-haves but not deal breakers: (PLUS ONLY)
  • Strong data Interpretation and business process modeling skills.
  • Able to context data requirements discussions and asking probing questions to ensure hidden requirements/capabilities are captured
  • Experience in retail, supply chain, or grocery industry.
  • Experience using SQL, database management systems, key data technologies
  • Understanding of data warehouse, reporting and analytics/advanced analytics including forecasting, recommendations
