- This person will lead/contribute to the technical design and architecture for projects of sizable scope.
- Need a candidate that can also perform complex programming tasks, support and enhance existing applications by performing research, and mentor lesser experienced Java Developers.
- This position requires leadership abilities and the capability of working cooperatively with all levels of management and staff.
- Independently performs and guides, assist or mentor others, with data design, software coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and installation to the production environment in accordance with industry best practices and specific internal standards, procedures, and methodologies.
- Needs to have experience in the full life cycle process including requirements gathering, customer/vendor contact, maintenance, development, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
- They would need to know how to implement new software, upgrades, and the regression testing before migrating to the production environment.
- Be able to work in a team approach working with database analyst, technical architects, senior consultants, operations folks, and other developers.
- Converts business requirements or problems into technical requirements.
- Leads/Contributes to the technical design and architecture to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software.
- Must be able to clearly articulate the implications of design/architectural decisions, issues and plans to technology leadership.
- Develop reusable patterns and encourage innovation that will enable team velocity.
- Collaborate on the design with other team members and product owners, both inside and outside the team.
- Java experience with 2-3 years as a Java Tech Lead/Lead Developer (server-side and front-end development).
- Building design patterns and software engineering best practices.
- J2EE, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, CSS, HTML, Eclipse, and Browser developer tool experience.
- SQL, relational database modeling and design.
- Source code management with Git.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- Proven problem-solving techniques.
