Summary of Position: Responsible for assisting in the production of a wide variety of engraving products.
Department: Marketing
Status: Part-time, non-exempt
Work Schedule: varied schedule, not exceed 29/hours per week
Starting Pay: $15.25/hour.

Responsibilities:
Assist supervisor with the Union’s engraving services to include the design, production and quality control of products (ie. trophies, plaques, awards, metal photos, name badges, signs, name plates, etc.). Provide cost estimates of products and services to potential customers. Program and operate computer engraver, laser photo printer equipment, photo-imaging software, and other computer-aided manufacturing systems. Operate metal cutting equipment in a consistently safe manner. Determine and measure dimensions and spacing of designs, letters, photos, logos and patterns. Proofread all engraving text to verify correct spelling and punctuation. Prioritize projects to ensure timely completion. Provide high degree of customer satisfaction and quality product. Submit timely invoice requests. Order, maintain and inventory engraving-related products. Maintain all engraving-related equipment. Perform necessary housekeeping duties in order to maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
Education - Minimum
High school diploma (or equivalent)
Experience – Minimum Demonstrated
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Experience – Preferred Demonstrated
Graphic design experience, to include Adobe Creative Suites software;
Talent to combine function and visual appearance to achieve successful engraving products.
Skills and Abilities
Work in a general office environment. Stand 60% of shift. Dexterity/movement to operate engraving equipment, metal cutter, computer, and other varying office and engraving equipment. Sight to view computer, documents, and general office and engraving machinery. Verbal and written communication to present, convey and exchange information and ideas accurately and quickly. Move, transport and position equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. This position works with a metal cutter that may be hazardous if not operated safely.
