Senior Planner

Contract Position: 6 months

Job description:

  • Responsible for driving process improvement through the design and discipline of Standard Work for Planning mainly but also Procurement activities
  • Responsible for leading Supply Reviews with Operations teams, designing proactive production philosophies
  • Responsible for upskilling of the planning community, designing and maintaining world class of standard work and training.
  • Responsible for creation of standard templates and approaches to Plan Conformance, Standard Planning alignment meetings and all KPIs made visible and measured in the same way across sites of remit.
  • Responsible for creating a community for Business Continuity Planning and developing the Planning community to cover new project requests and creation of agile planning processes to meet continued moving market dynamics.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive action to set up systems and governance for the planning teams.
  • Setting clear performance expectations and help set a plan and execute this.
  • Use various planning strategies - exception reporting, stock control, forward 2 week fixed plan, 13 week rolling window etc to establish new rules and ways of working at the site.
  • Support and coach the team and individuals to achieve the desired results
  • Improve the processes and come up with better ways of working.

  • Communicating a clear plan and motivating the team ​to achieve goals and defined success metrics.
  • Regularly reviewing team’s priorities. Have the courage ​and discipline to prioritise the critical few and stop ​non/low-value-added work.
