DescriptionThe Associate Director, Medicaid Acquisition Integration performs project-oriented duties related to the integration of an acquired entity into the company. The Associate Director, Medicaid Acquisition Integration requires a solid understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across department(s).ResponsibilitiesThe Associate Director, Medicaid Acquisition Integration implements activities and projects associated with the assimilation of practices and systems where the primary competence is in project management and integration related disciplines. This role will partner with stakeholders across the organization after the merger/acquisition decision has been reached with a focus on integration activities.Primary Responsibilities include:Decisions are typically related to identifying and resolving complex technical and operational problems within department(s), and could lead multiple managers or highly specialized professional associates.

Lead large scale and complex projects and initiatives across the entire enterprise.

Performs project-oriented duties related to the integration of an acquired entity into the company.

Manages project staff involved in the planning, development and implementations of Medicaid Mergers and Acquisitions.

Collaborates and coordinates with the IMO, technology groups, and system implementation partners to develop project strategies and plans.

Communicates with and influence internal and external stakeholders regarding key project objectives and steps to ensure company integration expectations and met and benefits are realized.

Provides leadership and oversight of the business unit's implementation processes; managing company adherence to standard implementation processes

Manages business and program implementations to meet budget, timeline, and contractual requirements.

Maintains standard business implementation organizational structures, team structures, work breakdown structures, work planning, issue logs, decision logs, change control and executive reports.

Influences senior leadership and key stakeholders on integration approach and recommendations and is comfortable presenting on a wide variety of functional and technical topics to a broad audience.

Provides input on operating models, including standard corporate functional and information system models, performance metrics, expected outcomes and plan impacts.

Coordinates cross-functional tasks between various internal and external areas to ensure successful project outcomes.

Communicates project status to all internal and external stakeholders.

Mentors project team members and stakeholders using appropriate tools and techniques in order to increase and maintain commitment to portfolio objectives.

Provides informal feedback on an ongoing basis and formal feedback in the annual performance evaluation process to identify and develop talent.

Responsible for designing the overall integration plan to ensure that it delivers the full potential of the combination of companies.

Sets the pace and manages the cadence of integration activities.

Actively demonstrates Humana core values in all interactions.

Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

Three (3) or more year's previous experience working in Mergers and Acquisition field (IT systems and/or business integration experience.)

Three (3) or more years of technical and/or business project management experience.

Two (2) or more years of direct leadership experience.

Working knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle, Waterfall, and Agile Development Methodologies.

Possess a solid understanding of operations, technology, communications and processes

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.

Must have a room in your home designated as a home office; away from high traffic areas where confidential information may be secured.

Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role). A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) is required.

Preferred QualificationsTwo (2) or more years of experience in Health Plan Operations and/or Healthcare IT systems.

Experience working with Medicaid and/or Medicare Plans.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

Six Sigma and / or Project Management Institute certification.

Additional InformationTravel: 30% to various states.

Work Hours: Eastern Time Zone or Central Time Zone.
