Description:We are actively hiring for a professional with experience in geotechnical testing (soils, concrete, aggregates) and ideally with a major in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Engineering/Management, or more than 2 years of testing experience with associated certifications (ACI 1, ACI 2, ICC, Nuke Gauge, MODOT/KDOT, etc.). This role will be on-site in Cherryvale/Parsons, KS - Perdiem and hotel will be paid for if candidate is not local to area. Overtime will be available and paid (x1.5). his project will consist of at least 7-10 weeks of soil testing followed by 10+ weeks of concrete/asphalt testing.After completion of Parsons project, candidate has option to work out of Lenexa/N. KCMO/Junction/Salina officesPE Engineer will be on-site for project if candidate is in need of hours under PE. Pay is flexible based on experience General position overview Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g. soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel).
Communicate with project manager, engineering technicians, client representative, contractor’s representative and others as applicable regarding the construction site, project requirements, and testing, observation, and inspection requirements and results.
Transport material samples with associated identifying documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis.
Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observation in the form of written and digital reports as work is performed for daily transmittal to the Project Manager.
Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas.
May assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites.
Adhere to strict safety standards.
