Adecco is currently assisting a local client with their search for Controller. This is a great permanent, direct-hire opportunity, with a long-standing and growing international manufacturing company in Topeka, KS.
Location: Topeka, KS
Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM, M-F
Duration: Direct-hire
Compensation: $75k-$90k/yr based on experience, annual bonus, possible relocation assistance, and a full benefits package: paid vacation and sick, medical, dental, vision, life and disability and 401k.
Job Duties:
Establishes and maintains financial systems to safeguard assets through effective internal controls, annual budgeting, forecasting, timely financial reporting, annual audits and insurance coverage.
Consolidates the budget and manages funds and investments to allow for appropriate cash flow to meet the financial obligations.
Oversees the payroll system to ensure timely and accurate payroll processes.
Coordinates US, State, County, and Local tax reporting requirements.
Prepares and analyzes monthly and year-end comparative annual financial reports; performs and provides analysis of current results to prior periods and/or budget.
Participates in the development implementation of the budgets and forecasts, supports the strategic plans, monitors and reports on progress and recommends changes as necessary.
Assists in maintenance of the highest degree of financial integrity and transparency in its administration of accounting principles and practices which are subject to annual audit reviews.
Provides information to support auditors in preparation of schedules and documents to coordinate year-end audits with independent auditors. This includes 401K and Year End Financial Statements and insurance.
Responsible for the capital budget and related maintenance of fixed asset records, depreciation rates and related systems.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 6 years experience in accounting and 2-3 years experience in management is required
Advanced computer and word processing skills, in particular Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access
Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP system (preferred)
Manufacturing environment and cost accounting experience (preferred)
Education:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study is required
CPA certification or MBA (preferred)
