IT Asset Manager (Hardware) for our client in Topeka, KS. The position will support the organization in performing day-to-day hardware ITAM operations related to enterprise asset repository management, asset reconciliation, exception identification data analysis and creating reports for hardware assets. Position will require candidates to work on-site Monday through Friday in the Topeka, KS area with some limited opportunities for remote work once fully trained.

Job Description/Responsibilities:
  • Update, validate and maintain enterprise asset repository
  • Track and monitor asset inventory based on operational guidance
  • Identify and investigate asset inventory variances
  • Coordinate remediation activities for these variances based on operational guidance
  • Support efforts to ensure ITAM discipline is adhered to across all aspects of the ITAM process
  • Ensures compliance with our governance process to ensure assets are maintained to standards in our data repository
  • Prepares ITAM reports and metrics for the ITAM team, stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Supports internal self-audits and external audits of hardware as required.
  • Provides support for collection of information for budgeting, compliance, and cost comparisons as needed
  • Define and maintain ITAM policies, standards and processes across both Enterprise and Operating unit/Segment ITAM teams, including those policies maintained by ITAM stakeholders (e.g., Procurement)
  • Design and implement policy enforcement methodologies to detect non-compliance
  • Facilitate ITAM-related training and knowledge management, setting up knowledge portals and information distribution protocols
  • Co-ordinate external audit response teams, engaging stakeholders as required

Required Qualifications/Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business finance, accounting or a related field REQUIRED AND/OR Equivalent Experience
  • Experience using asset management-related tools and data
  • Experience with Excel and other data analysis tools
  • Excellent understanding of IT Asset Management lifecycle and best practices
  • Required 3 years of experience in IT Asset Management
  • Preferred 5 years of experience in IT Asset Management
  • Preferred Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP) Certification
  • Good team player and ability to collaborate with broader team
  • Ability to analyze information and develop a comprehensive work plan
  • Ability to communicate and make recommendations to upper management
  • Ability to effectively present information and responds to questions from peers and management
  • Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Must be able to document information, issues, work and/or incidents using standard formats. Documentation must be grammatically correct, factually accurate, and appropriate to the target audience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good analytical skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
