Job Description
TITLE: Summer Operations Crew - Technology
REPORTS TO:Technology Coordinator
JOB GOAL: To assist the district technology department with the installation, replacement, and decommissioning of equipment as needed during the summer months.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.Be at work as scheduled by Supervisor.
2.Unpack and pack equipment for installation and transportation.
3.Record device specific information and record it through District provided means.
4.Apply labels to equipment in a neat and consistent way, as demonstrated by DistrictTechnology staff.
5.Follow instructions provided by District Technology Staff.
6.Work alone and with groups to complete tasks.
7.Ability to transport self between buildings (several miles) as necessitated by tasks.
8.Ability to work with keyboards, mice, and touch pads for data entry and installation processes.
9. Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as assigned by the TechnologyCoordinator.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1.Work requires extensive computer terminal use and includes extensive reading and operation of machines at distances close to the eyes.
2.Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. The amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.
3. Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces. The amount and kind of balancing exceeds that needed for ordinary locomotion and maintenance of body equilibrium.
4.Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
5.Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
6.Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
7.Crawling: Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
8.Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
9.Standing: Particularly for sustained periods of time.
10.Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances.
11.Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in orderto thrust forward, downward or outward.
12.Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or rug objects in a sustained motion.
13.Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. Requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
14.Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing/keyboarding or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handing.
15.Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm.
16.Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects such as size, shape, temperature or texturebytouching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
17.Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
18.Hearing: Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
19.Repetitive motions: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/orfingers.
20.Very heavy work: Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of forceconstantly to move objects.
21. The worker is subject to all environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.
22.The worker is subject to extreme heat. Temperatures above 80 degrees for periods ofmore than two hours, and/or above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
23.The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
24. The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions: One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: Fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases or poor ventilation.

SALARY:$10 per hour

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.High school graduate or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
2.Ability to share knowledge effectively with coworkers.
3.Ability to effectively read, thoroughly understand, and appropriately apply the English language in written and verbal form.
4.Dependability.
5.Ability to get along with others.
