Job Summary: Prep equipment to be painter ready
BRB Contractors is looking for individuals to assist in the painting of heavy equipment and prepare them for painting. The employee will work Monday through Friday from approximately 2:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Extra hours may be required to meet customer demands.
Compensation:
$13-17 per hour depending on verified experience
Functional Job Duties:
Prepare product for application of paint, taping, masking, sanding, hanging of materials
Communicating with painter about prepping items, timelines, etc.
Following procedures for surface preparation specifications
Ability to safely work around the shop area with little direction
Capacity to work while maintaining precautions of work going on around you
Sanding and fixing imperfections of product to get the best paint finish.
Maintain the shop and paint equipment to ensure they stay in good condition.
Prepare the product going to the painter.
Observe all safety rules: (i.e. safety glasses, ear plugs, Lock Out/Tag Out, etc.).
Qualifications:
Experience with industrial and auto painting preferred
Ability to wear a Full-face Respirator for long periods of time
Mental Requirements:
Must possess sufficient interpersonal skills to effectively interact with persons inside and outside the Company. Must be able to work under stress and handle multiple priorities. Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations related to job requirements. Must be able to work under stress and meet deadlines. Must be able to maintain and process job-related paperwork effectively. Must be able to handle multiple priorities.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to go up and down stairs. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to work at heights utilizing a ladder. Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in Company duties. Must be able to work overtime if required. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
