Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, create, and execute high quality reusable test cases and scripts within multi-tier products.
  • Develop and execute system and regression test plans.
  • Diagnose technology issues and share with developers what isn't working correctly and why.
  • Deliver high quality products on time while working in Agile Teams and following Agile methodologies.
  • Design and execute key testing scripts within the CCH IQ suite.
  • Effectively leverage test case management and defect tracking solutions.
  • Work on Agile Teams and following Agile methodologies, such as SCRUM.
  • Establish and demonstrate an aptitude for analytical problem-solving.
  • Generate innovative approaches and solutions to recurring problems.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues by recognizing defects and working with developers to find solutions.
  • Review and provide input on designs, functional specifications, and project requirements.
  • Implement designs and provides feedback on the development process.
  • Manage test cases in test case management system.
  • Manage test results and defects in defect tracking management system.
  • Leverage automated test frameworks.
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience in Quality Assurance, Development or Support of software applications in lieu of degree
  • Experience in the software industry (QA, Development, Tech Support)
  • Experience testing Web APIs, Services, and UI
  • Experience documenting defects, reproduction steps, RCA's, and producing technical documentation
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues with internal or external customers
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Aptitude for analytical problem-solving
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools
Preferred but not Essential:
  • Quality Assurance testing for desktop applications, preferred.
  • Experience working with offshore teams, preferred
  • 2 years of tax preparation or experience using the CCH Axcess suite preferred
