Pet Traditions, experiencing rapid growth, has an IMMEDIATE FULL-TIME OPENING. If you have compassion for pet parents experiencing pet loss and a desire to be of assistance, this could be the perfect full-time position for you.
This is an integral position within Pet Traditions, functioning as a front-line representative, providing dignified after-care for pets and compassionate care and support for pet parents. Duties include reaching out to families following the loss of their pet to discuss options for cremation and other memorial items - and then following through to completion. May also assist with transporting beloved, yet deceased pets to our Memorial Center.
Must-Have Qualifications
At least 21 years of age with valid driver's license and excellent driving record
Positive, professional, outgoing personality
Excellent interpersonal skills
Compassion and sensitivity when dealing with grieving pet owners
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Confident decision-maker
Ability to lift and move 100+ pounds
Not afraid of manual labor; this is a physically-demanding position
Comfortable caring for deceased pets and pet remains
Desired Skills/Experience
Customer service background
Prior veterinary experience a plus
Pet owner preferred
Expected Hours of Work
Full-time team members must have flexibility with hours, working a minimum of 9:30am to 5:30pm Monday thru Friday + availability for rotating evenings & weekends to conduct phone follow-up (from home) for families experiencing pet loss after hours.
