Manpower Engineering looking for an Electrical Engineer for our client south of the Louisville area. Direct/perm hire.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Develops new products; works on how to improve existing products.
  • Participates in the design and development of supplementary processes or equipment and in trouble shooting existing processes and equipment.
  • Tests and maintains electrical equipment; constructs complex electrical and electronic appliances from wiring diagrams.
  • PLC and HMI programming
  • Works with state and federal agencies to ensure compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations with regards to equipment installations and/or other facility processes; ensures projects meet legal requirements, environmental directives, and health and safety requirements.
  • Maintains an awareness of external product and process technology, including those of competitors, through external networks (i.e., academia, suppliers, customers, research institutes, etc.), literature study, technical meetings, and conferences; incorporates this information into the development of new products.
  • Evaluates capability of current manufacturing technologies, equipment, processes, and practices.
  • Identifies areas of opportunity to ensure the Company remains competitive within the marketplace.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Possesses a programming capability in PLC for machine control and communication among machine, HMI, and other components
  • Excellent math, science, technology and IT skills
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and assess possible solutions
  • Ability to explain design ideas clearly
  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical health and safety regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all levels within the organization
  • Excellent organizational skills; must be able to manage tasks and projects with minimal guidance
  • Possesses the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
