Type of Requisition: RegularClearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: SecretPublic Trust/Other Required: NoneJob Family: Solutions ArchitectGDIT seeks an experienced Solutions Architect to develop solutions for broad digital engineering IT programs to help GDIT grow our digital engineering business. The successful candidate will perform requirements analysis, develop solution architectures at multiple abstraction layers (operational, logical, functional), and perform verification with traceability to requirements.The candidate will be responsible for developing model-based solution architecture(s) for rapid capability development and demonstration. The candidate will also be required to articulate digital engineering concepts such as requirements traceability, model execution, design performance via simulation and digital threading in narrative formats.In addition, the successful candidate will identify risk(s) to inform cost and schedule impacts to performance.In this Role, a Typical Day will Include:Review requests for proposal (RFP) and requests for information (RFI) for applicability to digital engineering solutions.
Create solution architectures using OMG standards-based models to respond to requests for information (RFI) and requests for proposal (RFP).
Present digital engineering solutions in demonstrable forms to a broad base of internal and external customers.
Engage with vendors to stay informed of the latest digital engineering offerings.
Interact with internal team members to ensure delivery of digital engineering solutions on time.
Required Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering or a related business or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
5-10 years professional experience working knowledge of Cloud.
20 years of experience in Information Technology.
Ability to brief customers, partners and senior staff.
Working knowledge of OMG (Object Management Group) modeling standards such as UML, SysML and UAF.
Working knowledge of cloud computing, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD and DevSecOps.
Worked in projects, programs that utilize Agile methodology.
Program-level experience implementing systems engineering.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Desired Experience:Working knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Certification in modeling, e.g. OCSMP (OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional).
Software development using open-source frameworks, Java and .NET.
Experience responding to Department of Defense requests for proposal (RFP) and requests for information (RFI).
Certification or membership in professional systems engineering organizations (e.g. INCOSE).
