Data Systems Analysts, Inc. is searching for an an experienced Database DeveloperThe Database Developer will support the Army Human Resources Command (HRC) located at Fort Knox, KY. The scope of this effort is to provide a select range of IT services for specific activities within HRC. The IT services encompass all activities necessary to provide secure enterprise-wide systems sustainment, management, enhancement, development and integration services for the life-cycle administration and deployment functions. DSA will assist the HRC in the goal of meeting the vision of the Army G6 of a secure, standard based environment.Job Duties: Under general supervision, participates in the development and maintenance of Cyber and IA database systems while also offering Database development resource to the development team. Required to review and provide technical solutions to projects which may be in different stages of the development life cycle. The candidate should possess the following experience: Knowledge and experience with Oracle or MS SQL Server DBMS Strong command of SQL, T-SQL, SQL server tools, and writing complex SQL queries Fluent with programming languages such as Python or PHP Experience with XML and HTML Strong command of Unix/Linux basic shell commands Experience with data warehousing, report generation, job scheduling and monitoring tools Strong technical documentation skills (Windows Office/Visio/Cvs, etc.) Experience with packaging and delivering database updates for production releases Practical experience with Relational Database Server (RDS) (ex. SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise) Understanding of the software development process and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Ability to work independently and to respond quickly to change Strong critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills CompTIA Security+ CertificationDesired experience includes the following: Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling Experience with creating database documentation including ERD s, data dictionaries and architecture diagrams Experience working in an Agile development team Experience with commercial cloud service providers (ex. Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services) Prior experience supporting the Army Human Resources Command in Ft. Knox, KYRequired Education and Certifications: Bachelors Degree plus 5 years experience (Associates or Technical School with 7 years experience) CompTIA Security+ Certification (or comparable IAT II level 8570 certification) Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server certificationMUST HAVE AN ACTIVE DOD CLEARANCE ; this will be verified prior to interview.
