Data Systems Analysts, Inc. is searching for an Experienced Database Engineer , SENIOR. an experienced Database Engineer - Senior.The Database Engineer will support the Army Human Resources Command (HRC) located at Fort Knox, KY. The scope of this effort is to provide a select range of IT services for specific activities within HRC. The IT services encompass all activities necessary to provide secure enterprise-wide systems sustainment, management, enhancement, development and integration services for the lifecycle administration and deployment functions. DSA will assist the HRC in the goal of meeting the vision of the Army G6 of a secure, standard based environment.Job Description:The Database Analyst Senior is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex databases with respect to access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods. This includes maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures, and integration of systems through database design. Competent to work at the highest level of all phases of database management. The Database Analysts will organize and make sense of collections of information in order to create functional database systems. They will evaluate, design, review, and implement databases. They will maintain and update existing databases to better serve the needs of the organization. Database Analysts will assist in the security of databases. They will consult with leadership and administrators to determine what data needs to be included in the database system and determine the best ways to organize and store this information. They will create detailed documentation, flowcharts, and diagrams to illustrate how the data will be sorted and stored.Required Skills and Experience: At least 10 years of database design, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance. Fluent with programming languages such as Python or PHP 5+ years experience with SQL and NoSQL databases Experience in creating database queries Data modeling experience Must be up-to-date on the latest practices and trends in database creation Ability to create detailed documentation, diagrams, and flowcharts Understanding of the software development process and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Proven time management and organizational skills Strong adaptability and capacity to work in fast-paced environments CompTIA Security+Required Education and Certifications: Masters or Bachelors with 10 years experienceMUST HAVE AN ACTIVE DOD CLEARANCE ; this will be verified prior to interview.
