Network Administrator at Fort Knox, KY. This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of hire. Promoting from within is a routine best practice in an environment where individuals are encouraged to advance their careers.The Network Administrator will be responsible for providing comprehensive Network administration in a challenging enterprise environment located in Ft. Knox, KY.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Adjust network sizes to meet volume or capacity demands.
  • Communicate with customers, sales staff, or marketing staff to determine customer needs.
  • Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs or upgrades.
  • Design, build, or operate equipment configuration prototypes, including network hardware, software, servers, or server operation systems.
  • Determine specific network hardware or software requirements such as platforms, interfaces, bandwidths, or routine schemas.
  • Develop and implement solutions for network problems.
  • Team primary responsibilities lie in the configuration, management, support, and maintenance.
  • Team provides 24X7 support for all communications equipment (routers, switches, hubs, terminal servers, wireless access points, VPN concentrators, and UPS) and circuits in the network while providing on call coverage on a monthly rotation cycle.
  • Is responsible for the full documentation of the enterprise communications architecture to include drawings, diagrams, operations manuals and other applicable data.
  • Can work independently on most efforts.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of Network Administration experience.
  • Must have certification as a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
  • Must be able to apply best practices in modifying and securing the environment to ensure the application environment meets all Information Assurance requirements.
  • Completed Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field or four years of additional general experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in Network operations and design, switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • LAN switching & routing & Ethernet networks along with IP routing, configuration, troubleshooting of switched & routed networks.
  • Strong network technology concepts and experience, especially Ethernet & IP.
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with Network Operation Groups, Engineering, customer, vendor and third-party personnel.
  • Knowledge/Experience in IPV4 to IPV6 Migrations.
  • Knowledge of ISO/ITIL processes and documentation standards is desired.
  • Candidate must have or be able to obtain a Security+ Certification before start date.
  • Must currently possess or have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. TCI will facilitate transfers and/or Clearance applications.
  • Covid Vaccination is required.
