Business Analyst (Medicaid, Human Services)

We are seeking a Business Analyst with a Human Services or Medicaid background. The selected candidate will work under deadlines, must be capable of handling a large workload, and must be able to work independently with only general direction. The selected candidate must have business analysis skills including knowledge of the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Experience in Microsoft products, Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Microsoft SQL Server, and Sales Force applications is preferred. Job Responsibilities:The BA will be a member of a team who will be responsible for:

  • Working with the project team and vendor to assist with gathering and finalizing business requirements.
  • Participating in JAD sessions,
  • Participating in system research and testing, preparing and reviewing project documents and deliverables as necessary, etc.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 1+ years experience in providing Business Analysis on a large-scale IT system or prior experience with Supplemental Nutrition Assistance (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) and/or Medicaid Eligibility policies.
  • 3+ years experience working in a Business Analyst position including: Defining business problems, gathering and documenting requirements, determining business solutions and verifying solutions meet requirements.
  • 3+ years experience with SDLC methodology.
Preferred Skills:
  • Team Foundation Server (TFS): 1+ year experience.
  • Salesforce: 1+ year experience
  • SQL Server Management Studio: 1+ year experience
