We are seeking a skilled HL7 Project Manager with a strong background in Electronic Health Records/Electronic Medical Records (EHR/EMR). The person selected for this role will work with a team implementing Electronic Case Reporting across multiple EHR/EMR vendors. They will be responsible for coordination, planning, and organization of the development, implementation, and maintenance activities for this new project. In addition, they will be tasked with analysis and negotiation of project scope, budget, schedule and performance management of the vendor contracts. The selected Project Manager will also assist with planning of resources for project, monitor and track project risks, issues, budget and schedule and will keep business sponsors and senior management advised of project status. Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years Project Management experience on healthcare related projects including hospital information systems.
  • 2+ years experience with HL7 messaging
Preferred Skills:
  • 2+ years' experience working with vendor and contract management.
  • 2+ years' experience working with government-related projects.
  • 2+ years' experience working on public sector healthcare-related projects using HL7 messaging assisting with system and user acceptance testing efforts.
  • Intermediate ability to use Microsoft Office products to document requirements, develop use cases and process flow charts, to create or review project schedules, to create presentations, and to capture, track and report statistical data in spreadsheets or databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendors and contracts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group: executives, managers, key internal and external stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
  • Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and appropriately communicate information to a diverse group: executives, managers, key internal and external stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: (Functional Specifications, Technical Design Documents, Use Cases, Test Cases, Interface Designs, and reviews of vendor provided documentation).
