We have a position open for a Testing Analyst to join our team in Frankfort, KY. The chosen candidate will be hired to support an ongoing application development project for an integrated tax system.Roles & Responsibilities:
- Work with business analysts to review technical specifications, then translate them into test scenarios and test cases
- Communicate effectively with SMEs in non-technical terms using real world examples to help further their understanding of the testing processes.
- Train new testers using a defined on-boarding process
- Participate in triage meetings to resolve issues, manage risk, and assess impact of project changes throughout the project lifecycle
- Test complex interfaces between disparate systems (mainframe distributed)
- Create testing processes, including: test plans, test cases and test scripts
- Resolve problems in a cooperative and professional manner in a fast pace environment
- Train individuals on various tools and newly implemented software
- Write SQL expressions for data validation
- Test data conversion and business report
- 3+ years of experience in QA Testing including writing/reviewing complex test cases
- 3+ years of experience in Data Conversion Testing
- 3+ years of experience using Azure DevOps
- 3+ years of experience in testing BI reports (example: SAP BI, SSRS, Power BI)
- 3+ years of experience working on an Agile implementation in an IT environment
- Proven experience working with databases such as SQL Server, MySQL and Oracle
- Proven QA experience working in mid-to-large scale IT integration projects involving multiple source systems
- Complete understanding on Defect Life cycle and full SDLC experience
- Knowledge about best practices: continuous integration, test driven development and black box testing
- Complex financial applications and or tax-based systems
- Power BI
- Automated testing tool(s)
- Microsoft .Net platform (Visual Studio and IIS on Windows Server)
- API and Web Service testing using SOAPUI
