MF2655: Toolsetter/Operator Mandrels
2nd shiftDuties include setting up, operating and adjusting mandrel machines. Diagnose and remedy any operating difficulties and be responsible for proper machine operation. Set-up and adjust cutters to make-up a set. Adjust dies and feed grippers on different types of mandrels to insure proper finished product. Change cams for different lengths and or size mandrels. Make major repairs on cold heading machines. Regrind or sharpen tools, diagnose and remedy operating difficulties. Install new coils of wire into machines, removing finished product to designated storage areas. Lubricate machines as required. Perform all inspection requirements to ensure that parts meet specifications visually and dimensionally with micrometer, tensile testing equipment, etc. Responsible for quality of production. Work from drawings, specifications, and verbal instructions. Keep necessary production and quality records. Keep work area clean and orderly. Perform safe work practices. May perform other work related to the job. Must be able to work overtime if needed.Vacancy expired!
