As a Senior Accountant with UnitedHealth Group, you'll be responsible for making order out of the complex workings of a global leader. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports for Taft Hartley Trust Funds
  • Reconcile, analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close
  • Analyze and prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and statements of financial position
  • Assist with or lead the month end quarterly end close process for assigned businesses or groups with deadlines
  • Work with external auditors
  • Prepare and review tax filings
  • Maintain cash management standards for multiple Trust funds
  • Analyze investment statement activity and reconcile
  • In this role, you'll need to use all your education and experience as you work with an elite team of accounting and finance professionals who are writing the history of our organization and guiding our success as a global industry leader

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university
  • 2+ years of accounting experience
  • You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas, In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel as well as proficiency in other Office applications
  • QuickBooks experience a plus
  • Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements
  • Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems
  • Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses
