Job Responsibilities:
-sets up and operates a variety of woodworking machines and hand tools to fabricate wood cabinets.
-study drawings/blueprints and plan sequence of operations needed.
-matches materials for color, grain, or texture.
-glues, fits, and clamps parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit.
-drives nails or other fasteners into joints for reinforcement.
-sands and scrapes surfaces to prepare for finishing.
-dip, brush, or spray articles with protective or decorative materials, such as stain, varnish, lacquer, or paint.
-install hardware such as hinges, catches, or drawer pulls.
Skills:
-strong familiarity in using hand tools.
-experience in working with wood, preferably in cabinet making.
-experience in finishing wood with stain, varnish, or paint desirable.
Requirements:
-good communication skills.
-ability to perform physically demanding work on a consistent basis, including lifting 60+ pounds.
-valid Kentucky Driver's License and reliable transportation.
