OverviewThe Flight Crew Services Supervisor plays a critical role within the UPS System Chief Pilot Division. The supervisor’s main goal is to run a safe, efficient and customer service-oriented operation to ensure on-time departures throughout a 24 X 7 operation. Obviously, much of their time and efforts are centered around managing people, however, their involvement in the operation includes other duties and responsibilities.The Flight Crew Services Supervisor duties, outside of managing their workforce, vary depending on business need and changes within the operation. Their ability to adapt and respond to these business needs are critical. They must be flexible in their work schedules to ensure proper coverage and be on-call to communicate operational events as necessary.Responsibilities: Perform presentations to new hire pilots regarding the Crew Services Operation and SDF transportation processes-ABM being asked to present to new hire pilots Responds to Event Reports related to the operation Responds to, investigates, researches and resolves customer complaints with crews regarding SDF transportation-face to face Safety and Accident investigation lead Serves as the lead safety prevention expert for the operation Serves as a liaison with Crew Scheduling for Hot Launches and other operational issues Sets up and coordinates transportation for special events as needed (retirements, special visits, new hire pilot Basic Indoc day in the ASC, etc.) Participates in ASC tours and special events as needed Communicates and maintains relationships with various vendors as needed - ATG, Allied Security, ABM, etc. Communicates with GSE regarding van reliability, maintenance repairs and dependability Works with IE and GSE to bring on new equipment Processes licensing, registrations and insurance documentation on vans as needed with Jefferson County Clerk’s Office-ABM being asked to process license plates and registration for UPS owned equipment? Serves as a liaison with Airline and District Security regarding processes, security breaches and changes in security procedures related to crewmember transportation Problem solves catering disputes with crewmembers, when necessary, based on contract knowledge and authority. Works with Plant Engineering in coordinating facility issues such as, emergency evacuation procedures, Sleep Room concerns, restroom issues, other facility concerns, and customer complaints.ABM being asked to deal with sleep rooms, restrooms and other facility issues or just participate in an evacuation plan? Coordinates and has responsibility to ensure the Sleep Rooms are empty during emergency evacuation events (physically checks rooms during events) ABM staff being asked to be responsible for sleep room during emergency? Interacts and coordinates operational events with Assistant Chief Pilots, Ops personnel and other departments as needed to launch fleet successfully Liaison for ACP Office for questions regarding crew members, delays, paperwork, terminal runs Liaison for the Technology Group when CVV/SDSS issues occur Supports training activities for the operation - TMS, new hire drivers, etc. Communicates with RCC and Air District Ramp personnel on operational issues when needed Liaison for Edgewood Security for questions regarding operation Research and investigate delays Coverage for coordinators when on vacation or out of office Coordinates pick up of rental cars with pilot, testing personnel and hotels when crewmembers test positive for COVID-ABM being asked to plan and pick up rental cars for pilots with COVID? What type of PPE, safety precautions would be taken to ensure safety of ABM staff if part of the SOW? Physically drives crewmembers who test positive to and from hotels when necessary-ABM being asked to drive COVID positive crew to and from hotels? Same questions regarding PPE-Safety and if this is indeed part of the SOW or just pasted from internal UPS docs? Coordinates ASC cookouts and other employee relations activities as dictated by the System Chief Pilot and CP group-ABM responsible for planning activities based on SCP and CP group? Or was this copied from internal UPS docs? ABM already has it’s own employee appreciation events. Provides operational management coverage for the Flight Administration Office supervisors when on vacation or out of the office-ABM employees being asked to cover for UPS employees vacation time or out of the office?That would seem to be a UPS concern, correct?
