6.14 – Disability ProgramResponsibilitiesThe Director duties may include, but will not be limited to, the following: Plans, prepares, and executes training strategies by facilitating classes, providing technical assistance, and/or individual coaching

Reports urgent student issues such as inappropriate behaviors, academic and skills concerns, and attendance trends to the Academic Manager and Programs Director

Ensures CDSS plan is compliant and the center is operating as described in the plan

In collaboration with Center staff, develops action items to improve compliance and/or performance

Reviews OMS monthly and work with center staff to develop a Strategic Action Plan to address areas that are not meeting goals and to improve program

Holds monthly meetings to review programs action items

Participates in the staffing and technical assistance in applicable sections of RFP’s

Performs annual assessments in assigned areas and report results timely

Enters site visit assessments on each visit made to a Job Corps Center

Ensures any reporting and special request in the PRH areas of responsibility are well written and submitted timely as well as entered in QuickBase

Trains and implements on all support tools referred to in the RFP

Monitors for compliance in all responsible areas in the E-PRH, RFP and ResCare SOP’s

Ensures the curriculums being presented are current

Investigates new curriculum for the subject areas

Monitors TABE testing for PRH compliance

Writes, updates, and ensures compliance of Corporate Academic Sop’s

Participates and sometimes leads RFP’s projects

Assists centers with development of resolutions to ROCA or ROTA’s findings and other Regional requests

Travels approximately 75% of work weeks

QualificationsAcademic experience

Bachelor’s degree

Experience providing instruction in a one-on-one and group settings

Job Corps experience and prior oversight in the required PRH chapters preferred

Knowledge of and ability to follow Company, DOL and department policies and procedures;

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (verbally and in writing);

Ability to teach subject matter by means of verbal, written and demonstrated presentations

Excellent classroom management and student support skills

Attention to detail, accurate recordkeeping skills
