- Take calls from the customer and will follow customer processes to resolve the issues
- Hardware will be provided and maintained per customer processes
- Answer incoming calls from the customer authorized end-users
- Resolve issues following customer provided standard operating procedures
- Document issue and resolution in customer provided ticketing system
- Expedite issues that are unable to be fixed at the help desk
- Maintain the incoming call announcement
- Serve as backup to services, examples of supported items:
- Windows 7 & 10 L1 support
- Email user support
- Mobile printer support
- GE Integrated Parts Catalog
- MS Outlook Anywhere
- Verizon Connection Software
- Bluetooth, Bluetooth Printer
- McAfee Antivirus and Drive Encryption
- Internet Explorer
- Getac Toughbook
- Laptop Truck Docks
- GPS Device
- NewFi Cables
- Activities include recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up
- Performs general maintenance tasks and resolves less-complex problems immediately, while more complex issues are identified to a higher level of support
- Typically reports to a supervisor or manager
- May require an Associate's degree in a related area
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
- Can rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
- Knowledge of commonly used tech support concepts, practices, and procedures
- Ability to follow instructions and established guidelines
- Solid experience and understanding of IT services and products
- Ability to transform technical IT language into terms everyone understands
