Job Description
Our next Inventory and Returns Manager supports company growththrough managing and coordinating the daily activities and functions of the Louisville Comoto Inventory & Returns Departments.
A Day in the Life of our Returns Manager:- Responsible for ensuring returns practices are carried out to the highest standards possible, to enhance customer satisfaction and promote inventory accuracy and quality
- Establishes, implements, and oversees all returns and inventory processes within the distribution center
- Plans department workflow to utilize the most efficient process is being followed
- Ensures customer returns are processed within 24 hours of receipt at the DC
- Ensures the accurate counting of all items stocked within the facility and devises ways to reduce inaccurate inventory reporting
- Collaborates with fellow managers to support the DC as accurately as possible
- Provides direction and guidance to ensure consistent achievement of key departmental performance metrics
- Assists in training new team members and continually develops existing team growth and development through departmental education and training
- Communicates necessary business information to department through weekly team meetings and 1:1’s
- Works with Human Resources to conduct reviews and performance evaluations, formal goal setting sessions for all reporting staff and measure and review employees’ performance with respect to their goals
- Works with the accounting team to ensure proper controls are in place for external audits
- Works with Return and Inventory Supervisors to recruit and staff building based on allocated budgets and production volume needs
- Supplies daily, weekly, periodical metric reports on building accuracy and production
- Serves as a strong presence, leader, and representative of Comoto Fulfillment embracing continuous improvement
Qualifications
Our Next Inventory and Returns Manager Should Have:- Minimum of five years leadership experience with at least three years of experience in a fulfillment or distribution environment
- Mastery of returns and exchange processes and practices in a retail distribution environment
- Superior attention to detail
- Solid data entry and analytical skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Established communication, interpersonal, and listening skills
- Efficient in Gsuite applications and navigation
- Ability to interact and work in a fast-paced environment, wearing multiple hats
- Time management skills and the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work a schedule outside of normal business hours
Additional Information
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:- Typical warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures on a regular basis
- Concentrated mental and visual attention with a high degree of manual dexterity and visual attention for sustained periods
- Repetitive hand motions
- Requires continuous physical activity and the ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs continuously
- Requires walking, standing, bending and continuous sitting for long periods
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment including safety glasses and safety shoes
- Works in accordance with general safety rules and practices
- Keeps immediate work area clean and free from hazards
