CBTS is searching for a VMWare Virtualization Infrastructure Engineer to join our Louisville, KY team. Candidates need to have expertise building Clusters/Hosts/Guest machines/VMs. Candidates need to be able to hit the ground running working with VMware ESXi, vCenter, vSphere, and Vmotion. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to the Louisville, KY and work onsite 5 days a week. This is a 1 year contract with either extensions or will hire fulltime. This is a mid-level VMware engineer that is looking to advance to a Senior level VMware engineer learning new skills in (Storage, VDI, Cloud and Networking)
Responsibilities:- Install and Administer VMware ESXi and Vcenter.
- Creates virtual machines and VM templates.
- Performing action on advanced features of ESX/ESXi v6-v7, Migrations, HA, DRS, SDRS and Cluster.
- Expert knowledge on configuration and troubleshooting-vSphere and Storage replication.
- Expert in setting up HA/DRS and troubleshooting.
- Hands on command line experience with ESXi and VCSA.
- Analyzing the vCenter, ESXi and VM’s Logs to find root cause.
- Knowledge of managing VRA and VRO with Vcenter as an end point
- 3+ years of experience system administration in a multi-vendor environment
- 3+years of experience with server implementation, virtualization, and Microsoft Active Directory administration.
- 3+years of experience with a VMware-centric backup solution; Veeam preferred.
- Ability to use software configuration management tools such as Ansible, SALT, Chef or Puppet to create VM’s quickly
- Experience with additional VMware solutions such as Horizon, vRealize Operations, vRealize Automation, and NSX.
- Intermediate level of experience with storage including the basics like block & file storage, and more advanced concepts such as iSCSI IQN/iSNS and/or fiber channel zoning and SAN administration
