Feast BBQ is hiring a full-time Catering and Delivery Associate. This position is responsible for reviewing, preparing, and assembling all confirmed catering event, pickup, and delivery orders at its Market Street location, and delivering all orders within scheduled hours for Feast BBQ Nulu, Royals Hot Chicken, and Feast BBQ Jeffersontown. The Catering and Delivery Associate must display excellent hospitality, professionalism, and knowledge of safe food handling practices. This position requires a valid, unrestricted drivers license and good driving history. This position pays an hourly wage of $12.00 and may earn additional tips.

Job duties

-Know, adhere to, and enforce all company policies and safety/cleanliness regulations (including, but not limited to: Jefferson County Health Department standards for proper hand washing, proper use of all test strips, FIFO, proper cleaning techniques, etc.)

-Must hold or obtain a food handlers certificate through Department of Public Health and Wellness

-Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times

-Uphold excellent and hospitable relationships with clients and venue staff when delivering or staffed events

-Communicate with department managers about upcoming orders, deliveries, and catering needs

-Gather, portion, and package all possible items for catering from start to finish in a timely manner to ensure deliveries run smoothly. Assist with light prep of items for catering orders as needed.

-Assemble bulk carryout and catering orders prior to end of day, including getting cold items and supplies together so that orders run smooth the next day

-Deliver orders to clients

-Ensure cleanliness and good working condition of delivery vehicle, equipment, and storage area

-Provide general assistance to kitchen operations as necessary

Requirements

-Valid, unrestricted drivers license and proof of good driving history

-Possess or obtain Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness safe food handler's certification

-Able to bend, stand for extended periods, lift/carry heavy items

-Good interpersonal and written communication skills
