Duties and Responsibilities
An Aircraft Maintenance Technician is directly responsible to the Maintenance Supervisor. He/She is responsible for the following items:
1. Perform and sign for compliance with article repairs and inspection procedures as assigned.
2. Keep work areas clean. Return all equipment and tools to assigned areas. He/She will report all inoperative or faulty equipment to the Maintenance Supervisor.
3. At the completion of each repair or inspection, he/she will complete the proper documentation.
4. Ensure that all required tags for the repair or inspection have the required blocks completed and that part tags include a complete description of the discrepancy on removed parts.
5. Ensure that hangar workshops and other areas assigned are maintained in an orderly manner to include post maintenance clean-up.
6. Assist in the maintenance of technical manuals by informing the Chief Inspector when a manual is not current or not available.
7. Have adequate hand tools to perform work assigned and use proper safety equipment while performing maintenance.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
9. Maintain their tool boxes in a clean, orderly fashion and be knowledgeable of the RSM and associated company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of mechanical experience
- Proficient hand tool skills
