Established in 1994 as a one-man operation, Rainbow Design Services has since grown to be a proud leader in the telecommunications industry with over 400 dedicated employees. We partner with some of the nation's largest cable MSO's to survey, draft, and design cable routes across America. Recently, we were contracted for several large-scope projects, and we are now seeking entry-level 2nd CAD drafters to help us stay on top of our game.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate for this position enjoys working with technology, and wants to build a career with a fast-growing company. We are looking for committed employees who are excited to learn new skills and advance with us! Our 2nd shift hours are ideal for those who desire a sustainable career path, but do not wish to work traditional 9-to-5 hours. A CAD background or previous GIS experience is a plus, but if you're computer savvy and a fast learner, we want to hear from you.
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Drafter, you will receive two weeks of paid, on-the-job training during which you'll learn the basics of the telecommunications industry and become proficient with CAD software. After training, you will be responsible for analyzing existing source prints, and re-drafting a new and improved version according to the project's specs. A typical day will include drafting, researching, and performing quality control checks on your map. You will work closely with the Production Supervisors, who will provide ongoing support and development.
Our Linn Station office is located in J-town, where our 2nd shift hours are 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM. We have a casual dress code where T shirts and sneakers are the norm.
PAY & BENEFITS
