- Use Solidworks to design and edit models, including creating part and assembly drawings and bills of materials (BOM) to support a cross functional group of sales, purchasing, research and development, manufacturing, assembly, and technical support
- Design subsystem sheet metal components under the direction of the Senior Designer or Design Engineer
- Perform design revisions to improve product quality and increase manufacturing productivity
- Update and maintain ERP system data to reflect current, approved engineered parts and assemblies
- Create detailed product drawings and instructions for field modifications/installation
- Associates/Bachelor's degree in design or related field with 3-7 years of design experience (or 5-10 years of related experience if no degree)
- Strong knowledge of a CAD 3D modeling software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Understanding of document/part revision control within an engineering design environment
- Proficient computer skills and experience with Microsoft products
- Strong hands-on/mechanical aptitude
- Communication proficiency
- Strong decision making, organizational and analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to overcome unforeseen obstacles
