- Effectively complete preventive and proactive maintenance per the schedule to prevent breakdowns on equipment.
- Utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdown and line stoppages while collaborating with other departments.
- Acts as the "first responder" when a line stops producing to troubleshoot and correct any problems quickly using electrical and/or mechanical skills.
- Besides "firefighting", will also help with process development
- Follows issued work to ensure timely maintenance, repair and installation of equipment, tools and utility systems to minimize manufacturing downtime and completes all required paperwork and documentation in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Utilizes CMMS to open and close out work orders, check out spare parts, and other activities as required in the plant.
- Repair or maintain the basic condition of production equipment including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement as necessary.
- Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
- Help analyze equipment error messages or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
- Reviews maintenance PMs for modification in job plans.
- Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and safety performance standards.
- Provide technical support for 24/7 operations team and able to come in if needed
- 3+ years' experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance is a must!
- Strong electrical and some hands-on mechanial.
- Experience working on piping, pumping type of systems (rather than injection molding equipment)
- Computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel, SAP).
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
- Ability to safely work with up to 480 volts, run conduit, install equipment, size load requirements as per NFPA 70E requirements.
- Possess mechanical knowledge of pneumatic operated equipment, precision shaft alignment
- Basic understanding of rotating equipment and power transmission, Welding / fabrication and Pipefitting skills
- Comfortable rigging heavy loads
- Basic understanding of rotodynamic and positive displacement pumps is desired
- Basic understanding of PLC/DCS/VFD operations is desired
- Possess electrical knowledge of electrical safety techniques in all aspects of work. Electrical troubleshooting skills: Logical/methodical approach, learn from past experience, patience, use of information like drawings to solve problems, and use of proper metering techniques; basic understanding of instrumentation: Temperature, Pressure, Level, Flow
- Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings including, but not limited to, loop sheets, I/O Panel
- Have knowledge of Electrical Classified areas per the NFPA and NEC codes.
