Junior QA Engineer

We are looking for a motivated QA Engineer for a long term remote contract.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Responsibilities of the Junior QA Engineer:
  • Meet with product owners and developers to discuss product changes
  • Convert acceptance criteria and for changes into test cases
  • Innovate ways to cause software code to fail
  • Automate test scenarios using Katalon Studio
  • Report testing results in the Scrum management tool (Jira)
  • Retest defects fixed by the development team and close them

Requirements of the Junior QA Engineer:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in STEM
  • At least 1 year of experience in software testing/development
  • At least 6 months of experience in a programming or scripting language - Python, Ruby, JavaScript, Groovy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with others
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to decipher designs/software algorithms
  • Ability to comprehend and follow enterprise-wide processes
  • Ability to conduct manual, exploratory, and automated testing
