RA Building & Design, a 43-year old, small Christian-owned Residential Building and Construction Company based in Shelbyville is seeking the right person for the full-time, year-round position of Lead Carpenter. Work is primarily east side of Louisville – Crestwood, Lagrange, and communities east of the Gene Snyder (Fisherville, Finchville, Simpsonville, Shelbyville, Taylorsville, etc.).
Great co-workers, good pay. Competitive pay based on experience. Work is ongoing as we are always booked out with confirmed contracts. Framing, custom decks, covered porches, room additions, kitchen/basement/bathroom renovations, some trim and flooring.
LEAD CARPENTER with 6-10 years day in, day out, ongoing experience.
Must have good communication skills.
Able to assign, manage and monitor quality of crew members’ work.
Must have understanding of layout work and framing experience.
Must be competent and skilled with all tools.
Dependability is a MUST, as well as hard working.
Attention to detail is required.
Skill in other trades a plus.
Aluminum brake experience is a plus.
Must have good work ethic, dependable transportation and phone, valid driver's license, and own hand tools.
