Description SAIC has and opening for a Facilities Carpentry Support for the First Army Team located onsite at Fort Knox/Radcliff, KY.

NOTE: This is a temporary position for estimated 120days - 160 days start immediately Job Description:
  • Responsible for working with wood to build and repair structures and other items.
  • Sets-up and operates the full range of power woodworking tools. Install wooden structures such as frames, partitions, walls, flooring, joists and stud work.
  • Installing/finishing fixtures, fitted furniture, drywall and insulation.
  • Selecting lumber/material appropriate for use of need.
  • Reading blueprints/designs and build in accordance with such design.
  • Planning and coordinating all installations and refurbishments.
  • Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints.
  • Meet cost, productivity, and accuracy/timeliness targets.
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
  • Comply with laws, regulations and safety requirements.
Qualifications Required Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent and five (5) years or more experience.
Required Skills:
  • Experience working with senior members of the Military and Civilian
  • Carpentry experience.
  • Experience supporting DOD logistics.
  • Microsoft Suite experience.

Required:

  • US citizenship required for military installation access.
