What you will do:

A Delivery Lead is an enabler for a Product Lane accelerating value delivery to our customers. A Delivery Lead is a servant leader, coach, and facilitator partnering with, and responsible to, the Lane leaders (business, product, engineering) in optimizing our Product Based Operating Model.

How does a Delivery Lead provide value?

  • Enhances Capacity

  • Operates as a part of the Lane committed to the Lane's OKRs

  • Supports Lane Leadership in the effective establishment and on-going operation of the Lane
  • Promotes and coaches on iterative, incremental, and lean practices for value delivery
  • Guides the Lanes and Vertical Teams through bold change as well as the friction of change
  • Remove impediments, resolve conflicts, and constantly communicates progress with all stakeholders
  • Promotes Continuous Improvement

  • In support of product objectives identify, manage and resolve impediments with a focus on root cause
  • Acts as a change agent fostering continuous improvement, driving to our North Star
  • Optimizes contribution through coaching people and teams across the capabilities in the Product Based Operating Model
  • Brings an independent, knowledgeable perspective to the table raising opportunities for improvement as well as solution ideas
  • Cultivates a collaborative environment bringing people, teams, and capabilities (e.g. DevOps, InfoSec) together

  • Solves problems through collaboration, experimentation, and frameworks

  • Improves Delivery Execution

  • Supports processes, ceremonies, events, and ongoing work effort execution with a bias for action, achieving outcomes
  • Identifies, manages, and resolves impediments with a focus on root cause
  • Applies systems thinking to break down boundaries and silos

  • Promotes transparency through measuring and reporting progress through quantitative measures
  • Leverages strong problem-solving abilities in driving towards outcomes keeping a focus on the "why"

Competencies, Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of leading and coaching in agile and/or other iterative and incremental methods

  • 3+ years delivering software as a software engineer, test engineer, DevOps engineer, or similar
  • Excellent communication, organizational and servant leadership skills
  • Ability to interface with and influence leaders across the organization with poise
  • Leverages data to make decisions guided by OKRs and KPIs
  • Proficiency in delivering the work and the transformation in parallel

  • Ability to design, and implement methods that are lightweight and effective
  • Experience and excellent knowledge of Iterative and Incremental Engineering Practices
  • Practiced in Agile techniques and artifacts (definition of done, user stories, epics, initiatives, automation, etc.)
  • Experience with various agile scaling approaches
  • Tools experience:

  • Scrum / Agile tools - bonus points for working knowledge of Atlassian tools (Jira / Confluence)
  • Slack - bonus points
  • Microsoft Office applications

  • Experience in organizing, directing, and managing activities related to building and maintaining software
  • Knowledge of best practices and tools in an automated CI/CD framework

  • Experience in the consumer finance industry
  • Bachelor's degree (or relevant work experience) in a related field
