Knitting Operator Responsibilities
Operate knitting machines and fix quality issues and material handling in and around the knitters in order to maintain the efficient operation of the machines. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the tasks of:
tending to and operating one or more knitting machines
creeling machine
tying in rubber and yarn
inspect for quality
observing knit to detect yarn breaks and/or defects on web
correcting defective webs
changing out needles and tubes
report to equipment technician when unable to determine cause of defects
weigh boxes while maintaining and making accurate recordings for daily log
maintaining a clean and safe working area
Education
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience
1 year production work preferable but not required, some mechanical skills.
Candidates will be required to pass a drug screen.
HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE 2:30PM - 11PM MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.
INSURANCE BENEFITS, PAID VACATION, IRA AND PAID HOLIDAYS ARE PROVIDED.
Starting pay is $10/hour + opportunity to earn monthly incentive pay.
