NumberS59104ContactWhite,Maurie, SpherionPhone337-2690508Job DescriptionSpherion is recruiting for an experienced Payroll Clerk for a multi-state company headquartered in Broussard.This is a Direct Hire position.Salary is DOE.Responsibilities:?Responsible for the preparation and processing of the weekly payroll (This includes the entire cycle of payroll processing from capturing of new employees, leave, terminations, etc.)?Maintain a proper document control system.?Ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis; review changes for proper authorization.?Processing levies and garnishments.?Resolve payroll discrepancies and irregularities.?Solid understanding of federal and state wage and hour laws including payroll, taxes, withholding, deductions and garnishments?Hands-on experience in an accounting environment?Skilled in MS ExcelWorking hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:This position requires an extremely detail orientated person with significant knowledge of payroll administration, including state and federal regulations.
