We are currently seeking a Java Software Developer Senior Specialist to join our team in Harahan, LA, USA.The Software Development Senior Specialist manages critical projects with general direction and may allocate some work to others, has a deep understanding of own area, designs, develops, and supports high-volume, low latency applications for mission-critical systems delivering high-availability and performance. Participates on (and may lead projects where analysis of systems or data requires an in depth evaluation of complex business and/or system process, and industry standards. Regularly mentors and reviews work of less experienced team members. Executes schedules, costs, and documentation to ensure assigned projects come to successful conclusions.Required Skills- 8 years of relevant experience, with 5 years experience in Java development
- Ability to design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance
- Strong software architecture, design, and development experience
- Strong working experience with Web service technologies such as REST, JSON, SOAP, JAXB, JAX-WS
- Experience with SOA and Weblogic Security Framework
- Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (Maven, Jenkins)
- Experience with relational databases (Oracle, DB2 or SQL Server)
- Familiar with working on other Application Servers
- Must be US Citizen with the ability to obtain US Public Trust clearance
- Creative problem solver with an excellent approach to creating innovative solutions
- Responsible for overall automation framework design and enhancement
- Work closely with Infrastructure teams during the implementation of solutions
- Participate in testing and quality assurance aspects of projects
- Leverage skills to develop a proof of concepts for projects and when needed utilize programming and scripting techniques for complex situations
- Content Management API integrations like Documentum
- Ability to work in an Agile environment
