DescriptionRobert Half Finance is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with a desire to join a reputable company in the industrial services industry. You will use your knowledge and skills to prepare and consolidate financial statements, analyze and reconcile accounts, analyze cash flow, build budgets and forecasts, prepare audits, and manage internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. To be successful, candidates need to be highly adept at analytics and working in challenging, fast-paced environments. This Senior Accountant role is located in Harahan, Louisiana. Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Engage in various department-wide initiatives
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Prepare monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Requirements
Able to manage time well
Account reconciliation experience preferred
Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with public accounting or mid to large sized corporate team
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials or candidate
Experience with ERP systems
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
