We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Delivery Manager to join our growing team. CGI has an immediate need for a Data Modeler to join our healthcare team in Lafayette, LA. Be part of building one of the largest independent technology and business services firms in the world.Your future duties and responsibilities The role requires the candidate to understand the business requirements and translate them into technical solutions while adhering to the data modeling standards defined by the client. The candidate will be the liaison between client business and technology.Required qualifications to be successful in this role Minimum of 4-7 years of experience within a BI or OLTP environment, 2+ years as an architect Proficiency in the following areas: Data modeling (relational, dimensional, and hierarchical). Defining and/or maintaining database standards ER Models design and generation with tools such as Power Designer or ERWin Physical database design incl. sizing, views, indexing strategies, partitioning, etc. Oracle 9, 10g, 11g, SQL, PL/SQLPlus Data Profiling and data governance standards Standard SDLC processes such as waterfall or Agile Data Security Able to provide development guidance and mentoring Skilled in Lotus Notes, Windows based PCs, Microsoft Office Should be conversant in technology trends Communication and Leadership Skills: Communicate and presents information clearly, concisely and with confidence. Presents solutions and articulates their impact to technical management. Ability to adjust messaging to fit the needs of a variety of audiences. Ability to lead and mentor developers and peers individually or in small teams Additional experience in the following areas is a plus: ETL development and tuning in PL/SQL and Informatica Various CDC Methodologies BI Reporting in Cognos or other similar reporting tools Familiar with UNIX/LINUX Operating systems and ScriptingMinimum Education Required: Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering or related field.At CGI we call our professionals "members" to reinforce that all who join our team are, as owners, empowered to participate in the challenges and rewards that come from building a world-class company.
