Healthcare Data Analyst

Position Description Join this exciting new project as a Healthcare Data Analyst! We need an analyst with business and data analysis background in healthcare space. IDEAL would be an applicant with prior experience in EDI, FHIR format, data analysis and standards with regards to provider, member, claims and pre-authorization data.

With your required expertise you will work with a high-performing team to evaluate existing healthcare data and assist in report definition, messaging, and strategy definition. You will support and interact with the client daily in an Agile way of working. You will have the opportunity to show/grow with technology in a customer-facing role. You should be self-motivated to drive and proactively create (in sufficient detail) the documentation required to support and describe solutions. You will work side-by-side with an Azure Cloud Architect but with some supervision to analyze data through your knowledge of Cloud-based databases. You should have sufficient knowledge and maturity to effectively deal with technical issues and help to support the broader team. Your success will be directly related to CGI's and our client's success.

Your future duties and responsibilities• The Healthcare Data Analyst will o support our Azure Cloud Architect by analyzing existing data and structureso assist in mapping current structureo assist to discuss/define future structures and interaction with larger organizations• Transform complex data and concepts into understandable, usable information for our primary and secondary clients.• Effectively and accurately synthesize data from disparate, complex datasets.• Interpret, present, and explain information in an accessible way.• Successfully represent analytics primary and secondary clients.•

Required qualifications to be successful in this role• BSc/BA in Health Informatics, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field. Master's degree in Business, Health Administration, Data Analytics, or similar field preferred.• Minimum 2 years of healthcare data analytics experience.• Proficient in the use of SQL to query and extract data.• Proficiency with Microsoft applications; including Excel, Access, SSMS and PowerBI.• Experience developing business intelligence dashboards and ad hoc reports• Experience with data collection and analysis working with very large data sets.• Familiarity with Azure data warehouse structures and concepts.• Exposure to one or more statistical, scripting, or application development languages (for example, SAS, R, Python, Java, or C).• Excellent analytical and communication skills.• Outstanding organizational and problem-solving aptitude
